Langley Moor Primary School

ABOUT US

The Langley Moor Primary Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a group run by friendly volunteer parents with the help of Mrs Ferguson and staff.  The PTA plays a vital role within the school providing support, arranging events and more importantly, raising money for all sorts of equipment for the children.

Regular fundraising events include; bingo, quiz and film nights, and seasonal fairs.  Over the past few years we have funded Halloween Discos, Christmas parties, supplied funds to the School Council for new outdoor sports equipment and help fund the new outdoor play area along with donations for books and computer equipment.

HAVE YOUR SAY…..

Have you any thoughts, ideas or concerns about anything to do with school?  Would you like to meet more parents to share your experiences? Would you like to become more involved with school life?

If so, why not join us at one of our meetings?

GETTING INVOLVED

We are always looking for new members! Meetings take place once per term; usually on evenings either as a virtual meeting or at the school.  Look out for the dates on the Friday Flyer, on here, and on the school notice board.

Even if you can’t commit to coming to meetings you may be able to help with preparing fruit on mornings for Key Stage 1 pupils or perhaps you have a specialist skill you can offer us at one of our fundraising events?  Whatever time you may be able to give would be a huge help!

Our chair is Anna McCartney, if you have any questions Anna is in the yard most days at drop off and pick up or you can see the outdoor noticeboard for more information. The school office can also pass on any messages on your behalf.

Fundraising and Events

School equipment is so much more expensive to buy than you can imagine!  Equipment must come from Certified School Suppliers, for which the School must pay a premium.  Therefore, our additional fundraising is vital for our school.

All money raised by the PTA is invested back into the school. We liaise with staff and children to decide how funds should be spent. We love to think of new ideas to raise money for our school community – if you have any please get in touch!
